Greg Douglas, Audit Senior Manager, enjoys ''the opportunity to personally provide a wide range of services to a variety of clients'' in his work at Martin Hood. Greg graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in 1988, and has been a part of the Martin Hood team since 1996. Much of his time is spent providing consulting services to attestation clients and non-attestation clients in the governmental and nonprofit industries. He also enjoys working with for-profit clients with federal contracts, and preparing personal income tax returns. Greg notes, ''The Partners at Martin Hood are smart, creative, outgoing and very easy to respect, while the staff are very committed to doing their best for their clients.''
Tyler Kutz, Senior Manager, joined the firm in 2011. ''The culture at Martin Hood really is something special. The firm provides me with the opportunity to engage in many different facets of the CPA profession, all while doing so with a great group of people.'' Tyler completed his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy from Eastern Illinois University in 2009. Tyler serves clients in many industries, including construction contractors, small business, and employee benefit plans. Additionally, Tyler provides payroll and tax assistance to a broad range of organizations and individuals. ''Find something you enjoy and you will never work a day in your life. That is all the more true when you get to work alongside a team like we have here,'' Tyler notes.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with individuals and businesses throughout Central Illinois again,” says Amy Pilcher, who recently rejoined the firm after spending eight years with a Big Four accounting firm. Amy originally started her career with Martin Hood after graduating with highest honors from the University of Illinois in 2007. As a Senior Manager, Amy will provide assurance and tax preparation service to a variety of clients in various industries including manufacturing and other small businesses, construction, employee benefit plans, governmental and non-profit agencies. “The partners and staff here at Martin Hood are great – I can’t think of a better group to work with!”
Anthony Deddo, Senior Manager, joined Martin Hood in November 2018 after spending time at a Big Four firm, a national accounting firm, and as controller at a large local Manufacturer. “I had the opportunity to work with Martin Hood when I was the controller of a large manufacturer. My experience as a client was great, giving me every confidence in joining them as a staff member,” he states. Anthony earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Bradley University, graduating in 2009. His background is in audit/attest with a focus in manufacturing and commercial clients. Anthony currently provides audit and consulting services in MWD, Construction, Agri-business and Cannabis.
Audit Supervisor Nate Warman states, “Coming to work every day is easy when you enjoy what you do and the people you work with.“ Nate graduated from Illinois State University with his Bachelor of Science and Master of Professional Accountancy in 2012 and joined Martin Hood in September of the same year. He provides attest services for clients in various industries, including governmental, small business, and non-profits. He is a member of the growing Agribusiness team and also prepares tax returns. “I love working at Martin Hood because everyone works as a team to provide superior service, as well as taking the time to give back to the community.”
In his role as Audit Supervisor and training coordinator, Garrett Kerr enjoys helping the culture at Martin Hood be one, “where people can utilize their gifts and are supported in their weaknesses.“ Garrett completed his Master of Accounting Science degree from the University of Illinois in 2015 and serves clients in government, nonprofit, construction, and manufacturing industries in attest and tax preparation services. “We have a really great team here. We may not have an answer for our clients off the top of our head, but we will work extremely hard to find the right and best answer.”
