On Thursday, October 20, 2016, our firm’s Managing Partner, Dave Hood, was one of several honored awardees at the annual recognition dinner presented by the Prairieland Council Scoutreach Initiative.
What is Scoutreach? A division of the Boy Scouts of America, Scoutreach “gives special leadership and emphasis to urban and rural Scouting programs. Scoutreach is the BSA’s commitment to making sure that all young people have an opportunity to join Scouting, regardless of their circumstances, neighborhood, or ethnic background.” Part of their mission is to recruit strong leaders who will develop solid relationships with chartered organizations to ensure that diverse youth have opportunities to join Scouting, for which Dave and others were honored.
As we have emphasized previously, MHFA encourages its employees to participate in efforts that give back to the community. We are proud of the numerous efforts put forth by many of our staff, and Dave is no exception.
The following is a list of organizations which Dave has served, past and present: President of the Eastern Chapter of the Illinois CPA Society; PTA Co-President; President of his Rotary Club Foundation; President of the Board of Directors of the Champaign County YMCA; District Chair for Prairielands Council, BSA; President of the Conference Council on Finance and Administration for the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church; Chair of the Board of Pensions and Health Care for the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church; Chair of the Personnel Committee at his church and Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of Clark-Lindsey Village; past Council Board of Directors; Eagle Scout; Member of the Order of the Arrow; winner of the God and Country Award.
Congratulations on this much-deserved honor, Dave!
