If your Company has a benefit plan that requires an annual audit, be aware that

the extended filing deadline is October 15^th.

Annual audits for employee benefit plans are required if the number of participants at the beginning of the plan year exceeds 100. These audits are required to be filed with the Plan’s Form 5500, which is generally due the last day of the seventh month after the end of the plan year (July 31 for a December 31 plan year-end); however, they can be extended by filing Form 5558.  The extended deadline for 2018 is October 15^th.  If you have any questions regarding your plan, please feel free to give our Employee Benefit Plan Team a call at (217) 351-2000.
