Important Tax Legislation Extensions Passed in Congress for 2016

Last month, Congress passed H.R. 2029, The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016, which extends a lengthy list of expired tax provisions. Extensions are in the following areas, including but not limited to:

  • Healthcare
  • Higher education
  • Penalties
  • IRS Reforms
  • Early retirement distribution
