January 15 Deadline Approaches

It is that time of year that many of us are looking through our mail, searching for tax documents and other related information to hand over to our tax preparers.

January 15, 2017 is the due date for the fourth-quarter estimated taxes for tax year 2016. Before filing your 2016 tax return, take this opportunity to contact your accountant to do some tax planning to ensure you have enough taxes paid through withholdings and/or estimated taxes to avoid any underpayment penalties and interest.
