Rachelle joined Martin Hood in December of 2019 after spending more than 20 years at a Big Four national accounting firm.  “I made the move to Martin Hood because after meeting the leadership team, I knew they were building something new and different – and I wanted to be a part of making that vision a reality.  The firm values, policies, practices, and culture are grounded in the core value of caring for people and cultivating trusted long-term relationships – this applies to our employees, our clients, and our community. Rachelle brings to Martin Hood a wide range of experience in tax compliance, planning, and consulting, including specialties in corporate taxes, ASC 740 tax provisions, multi-state businesses, and complex individual tax compliance and planning.  Rachelle leads our tax services in the construction industry and serves a wide range of other industries, including agriculture, real estate, consulting, and industrial manufacturing.

Rachelle is the office managing partner for our branch office in Peoria Heights.  She graduated with high honors from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois in 1996 and started her career in public accounting in 1998, after working for 2 years in private industry.  Rachelle is an enrolled agent and a licensed customs broker.
